Famous Them

The other day I was in a car going through the hamlet of Goodwood, Ontario; and at a gas station there they were filming something. We assumed it was a movie the first time we drove by. The second time we drove by we were stopped by a police car for 3 or 4 minutes so we couldn't drive by and interupt the shot. There was a big silver RV parked beside the gas station on one side with "Elly" painted on it and the outline of a woman with curly brown hair. The other side of the gas station had a big white sheet held up (I suppose something to do with the lighting), and in front of the station and cars there was a man with a large water hose making the pavement all wet. There were lots of people standing around and a couple of kids running about.

I didn't see anyone famous though.

Not too far away, near the camp that I have worked at the past three summers is the bridge where they filmed a few scenes for Anne of Green Gables. You know, the one that Anne and Gil walk across and he proposes to her on? Yeah, that's the one. It's also the body of water that they filmed the scene of Anne in the boat on the Lake of Shining Waters (or is it Silver Waters? I forget) and the boat sinks and Anne gets all wet and dirty.

My friend Holly once cut Gilbert Blythe deli meat at the grocery store she worked at in high school.

I've only cut deli meat for college students in the cafeteria.
